I was mad and sad Wednesday when California’s Prop 8 passed. I was resolved that the other propositions would pass, but I was counting on Californians to be smarter, dammit! After a few minutes of sliding into despair, I stopped. I realized that wanting someone else to sanction me and my love was a slippery slope. I know that this yearning is a danger zone, and is completely unnatural. Of course, the ability to create the life, love, and family we desire is the most basic right available to each of us!!
Do we need a law to make this true? No! It is just true. Since acting on your love is THAT true, THAT basic, you’re completely free to create your life. Remember that the universal law of attraction wants you to flourish, but ensures that whatever you focus on expands.
What do you want? What are your core desires?
- Love?
- Health?
- Prosperity?
- Understanding?
- Community?
- Happiness?
- Freedom?
Each of these desires is naturally and readily available to you as you turn your attention in that direction and claim it. Consider that there are at least a zillion ways to create your life, love, and family.
Think about it. You are completely free to create your life and love. What’s your pleasure? I revel in knowing that society’s natural progressive movement is advanced each and every time you act on what feels good to you.
Personally, my life is far too enjoyable to seek, or wait for permission, sanction or understanding from others (especially people that I don’t even know!). Can I confess that I can’t identify a single part of my life that would be better if I could legally marry my sweetie?
AND, I hope you always feel free to create and enjoy your life, on your terms!
Thank you! The world is a much better place because you’re here! Enjoy it all!

Great post and reminder Judy. I have to say though that the last few days, I have been practicing honoring my feelings and allowing myself time to be with them and process them.
Then this afternoon, I turned to music to help me raise my vibration; a conscious choice.
I posted this bulletin on Myspace that seems to be congruent with what you are saying in your post. Here’s what I wrote:
GLBT: Believe in You, Believe in Me
If you THINK your rights have been taken away, it’s true for you.
So is it true?
What if you anchored into what you know is true for you?
Yes on 8 can kiss my JUST FINE ass
You in? Then get up and shake what your mama gave ya. Be happy now… it means everything!

PS. The music video I chose to help me raise my vib did not post to your comments. So you will have to visit my myspace page to listen to the song by Mary J. Blige called “Just Fine”

Oh Mynde,
thank you! in so many ways, thank you! I know the MJ song well, and love it!
And you know, that’s the point-you’re the expert on finding peace, grace and love for you!
AND, you just made my day too!
cheers!

Same-sex intimacy was a crime in California until 1974. There weren’t any laws recognizing the relationships of same-sex couples until 1984. In 1990, San Francisco passed domestic-partner protections and the state of California followed in 2005.
In this particular case, the “truth” is not subjective. We simply do not have the same rights and protections, no matter how you choose to slice it. Furthermore, with the passage of Prop 8, hundreds of marriages were nullified. There is no other way to create marriage. And rumor has it, that they are targeting DOMA next.

I think you are on the right track. I am not gay or lesbian although I respect everyone’s right to choose the lifestyle that best suits them.
Please do not take this as my trying to impose my views on others - I am trying to share them but another basic tenet of the Law of Attraction is that “there is no one way” and that I really should not care what others do; I should only care what I focus on. I am a student of the Law of Attraction and find that I almost always agree with the teachings of Abraham. I posted this in a forum dedicated to the lifestyle I choose because I thought it was applicable even though Abraham was speaking about gay marriage — the concept is broader than that.
To give you some background Esther Hicks is a conduit for a group of spriritual beings who call themselves “Abraham” - they speak through her; use her as a channeler. I have read several of the books “Abraham” has dictated through Esther as well as some other channeled materials. This tape is addressing gay rights but the same principals would apply to FLR. I thougt others would find it beneficial and uplifting.

I had some extraneous stuff in the link — this one should work better.
