Giving = Receiving

If giving and receiving were doorways, how open is each in your life?

My openness varies within the moments of my days, and the opportunity presenting itself.  I imagine this is also true for you, yes?

When is your giving or receiving doorway wide open. . .or barely open? giving-flowers

Recently, I noticed how an open heart blurs the distinction between where giving and receiving begin and end.

Giving becomes receiving.

Receiving becomes giving.

You’ve probably experienced this reciprocal merging if you’ve ever been a parent, cared for someone who was dying, or have been in love, yes?

Since the world always reflects you, the energy generated through your time, love and attention is always returned to you, AND shared with others.  Feel free to direct your attention toward yourself, someone you love or a project, because  it’s always the nature of your energy that matters. Tapping into this energy stream, is what keeps abundance alive and flowing for each of us.

I also love that the merging of giving/receiving removes any false notions that one is better than the other.  There will be days when you expand your giving/receiving flow by being in service to another.  In other moments, you find your flow by receiving fully.

When giving and receiving are grounded in love, the direction of the flow  is irrelevant.

Then, the question becomes:

“How do I give/receive fully in this moment?”

Summer of Love Redux

SUMMER OF LOVE REDUX A Radical Self Love Challenge Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask what makes yourself come alive and then go do that. Dr. Howard Thurman How would your life shift if you: based your daily decisions on what brings you alive? knew everything you did was just right? did one outrageous act daily? had 24/7 support from others on [...]

The Merits of a Self-Centered Life

I want you to consider the merits of a self-centered life. I’ve been thinking about the qualities of being self-centered, selfless, and selfish.  Many of the articles I’ve explored present being selfless as virtuous trait, while self-centered and selfish [...]

Evolving Dream and Flourish

I recently came to a decision to open up Dream and Flourish services to those who gravitate to me, my words, and ideas to increase the joy they experience in their life journey.  Clearly, this still includes lesbian, bi and queer women. What better place than here to explore this decision further, and engage you in [...]

Curious AND Virtuous

Did you hear that President Obama includes curiosity as a national value right along with hard work and honesty, courage and fair play, loyalty and patriotism? Like Hanna Rossin, his repositioning of curiosity as a noble character trait in his inaugural address rang out, and grabbed my attention. Wow, indeed, this IS a new day! You [...]

The Quandary with Goals

Ok, two weeks into the new year. Have you met your goals for this year, yet? Ha! of course I’m just teasing. Was it just me, or did you wade through a new year goal frenzy too? First, I found myself repelled by the “be all you can be” type new year goal promotions. Last [...]

Your Inner Diva is a Law of Attraction Magnet!

I’ve recently come to realize that accepting your inner Diva is a powerful tool in creating your life.  Ha! I imagine that those of you who are tapped into your “outer” Diva understand this already.  Thanks ahead of time for your patience!  Still, there is so much misinformation about Divas, that I imagine that most [...]

2009? It’s Even Better the Second Time!

I want to suggest that you try time travel as a fabulous substitute for New Year’s resolutions. No need for secret decoder rings or a Star Trek transporter, all you need is a few minutes and your imagination! Besides, time travel is really a misnomer since quantum physicists have demonstrated how the past, present, and future [...]

Practical Optimism

I want to share with you a quick story about practical optimism. Brandon Craig, President of  BiltRite, a Phoenix based metal fabrication company, loves his business, employees and community. Balance is Bogus?

I’m noticing a lot of women talking, and writing about wanting more balance in their life. Does this include you?  If so, I love that you’re tapped into knowing that you really do create your life, and that DEFINITELY includes feeling good. However, I believe that much of what we’ve been taught about balance often [...]
